Ron Younker is President and Founder of Younker and Associates, LLC specializing in organizational and leadership effectiveness through coaching, training, and employee culture assessments and solutions.  

 

Experience that matters

Previously, Ron was Vice President, Human Resources for Cobb Electric Membership Corporation and was responsible for all HR functions for the company.  Over the years, Ron has been an engaging speaker on leadership and great place to work topics for conferences and universities.    

 

Ron spent 35 years at Southern Company where he retired as Director, Talent Development and was responsible for leadership and professional training, employee engagement, performance management, succession planning and career development for 4,000 leaders and over 30,000 employees. Ron was selected to serve on the national Conference Board Leadership Committee and served on the Atlanta Board of Advisors for the American Society for Training & Development.   

 

Ron has a BBA, Industrial Relations from University of Georgia and an MBA, Finance from Mercer University.  

 

Ron is active in the community.  He currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Executive MBA Program at Kennesaw State University.  He also serves as a community volunteer for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.  In 2012, Ron and his wife Pam together received the Cobb County Servant Leader Award by MUST ministries for their dedication to community success.  Ron is a graduate of Leadership Cobb County and chaired the program in 2006. 

 

Ron and Pam have two married sons and three grandchildren.  Ron can be heard playing guitar on Sundays at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church.
